The Karatzis Group, celebrated its annual vasilopita cutting with a special event, on Sunday, the 15th of January. Important local personalities, the Board of Directors as well as employees from all Karatzis companies, including Panellenic Airlines, Panellenic Lines and Nana Hotels, were present to celebrate another successful year for the Group.
The Group was honored by the presence of the Reverend Archbishop of Crete, Evgenios, the Chancellor of the Crete Archdiocese, Bartholomeos, the Deputy Sports Minister, Mr Lefteris Avgenakis, Nea Dimokratia MP Mr Maximos Senetakis, PASOK-Kinima Allagis MP, Mr Vasileios Kegkeroglou, Regional Governor of Crete, Mr Stavros Arnaoutakis and the President of the Crete Municipality Union, Mr Yiannis Kourakis. The Mayor of Hersonissos, Mr Ioannis Segos, the Mayor of Archanes-Asterousia, Mr Manolis Kokosalis, the Deputy Governor, Mr Nikos Xylouris, the Deputy Mayor of Heraklion, Mr Georgios Karantinos, the President of the Heraklion City Council, Mr Grigoris Paspatis, the Deputy Mayor of Heraklion, Mr Ioannis Anastasakis, the Deputy Mayor of Heraklion, Mr Georgios Sisamakis, the Deputy Mayor of the Municipality of Archanes-Asterousia, Mrs Hara Geneiataki, Heraklion airport master, Mr Georgios Pliakas, Heraklion port master, Mr Eftichios Douvis, Coordinator of Nea Dimokratia’s Productive Sectors, Mr Konstantinos Kefalogiannis and the President of NODE (Prefectural Governing Committee of New Dimokratia) Heraklion, Mr Evangelos Karkanakis.
During the event Mr Konstantinos Archontakis, General Manager of the Karatzis Group, addressed the attendees, warmly thanking everyone employed at Karatzis S.A. for their contribution to the Group’s development trajectory. Mr Archontakis stated: “Our people are our strength since nothing would be the same without them. The Group’s recognition, as well as its success across all sectors in which it operates, is a product of collective work and we are grateful to our employees for their hard work and dedication”.
Mrs Nana Karatzi, Vice-President of the Board of Directors of Karatzis S.A., addressed the employees: “Happy New Year, full of love and prosperity to you and your families. Thank you very much for your presence and continuous support for the Group in the past year as well”.

For the Karatzis group, an international leader in the industry sector, 2022 was an exceptional year as the Group expanded its activity in shipping with Panellenic Lines, strengthened the Panellenic Airline fleet with another privately-owned aircraft and successfully organised the 1st Nana ITF World Tennis Tournament at the facilities of the Nana Tennis & Sports Club.
At the same time, the Group is dynamically present in the energy sector with almost 1GW of projects currently under development.
